- 200 gms cottage cheese
- Tata Salt to taste
- 1/2 cup onion paste
- 1/2 cup tomato puree
- 1/4th cup whisked yogurt
- 1/4th cup cashewnut paste
- 2 tbsps ginger-garlic paste
- 2 tbsps of oil
- 20 gms shahi paneer masala
- 1 tbsp fresh cream
Method to make Kadai Paneer
Heat oil in a non-stick pan.
Add onion paste and sauté till turns golden in colour.
Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
Add tomato puree and whisked yogurt, mix and sauté on medium heat for another 4-5 minutes.
Add cashewnut paste and 3 cups water, stir and bring it to boil.
Let it simmer for 12-15 minutes.
Add shahi paneer masala, salt to taste and mix well.
Add cottage cheese (paneer) cubes and mix gently.
Add fresh cream, mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Garnish with a swirl of cream and serve hot.
for Kadai Paneer
To avoid the paneer from becoming tough or hard, add it at the end.
